The working principle of TPH technology mainly relies on the characteristics of thermosensitive materials. A transparent film is overlaid on a light-colored material (usually paper). When the film is heated to a certain temperature, a chemical reaction occurs, causing the film's color to change (usually becoming darker, such as black or blue). This process is achieved by selectively heating specific locations of the thermal paper using small electronic heaters on the print head, thus producing graphics on the thermal paper that correspond to the heating elements.
